Home Page

The Home page provides a holistic overview of your ports profile including geographic specifications, and defined points of interest for all MEP calculations. For most ports, there are the two tabs, ‘About' and ‘Terminology’:

About:

  • Port Logo, Definition and Description, provided by the client tailored to the port/s presented for the MEP
  • Review the studied port boundary - a geographically defined boundary determined by the client, representing the jurisdiction included within their Scope 1 and 3 vessel reporting limits. The port boundary is customer provided as a satellite or regular map view (toggle on the top left of image), and/or can be created by RightShip.
  • Explore POIs such as berths, terminals, anchorages, tugboat pens, and manoeuvring zones (map and satellite views supported) by zooming in to the relevant polygons.

Terminology:

  • Emissions Type: Up to sixteen emissions covered, typically, 3 GHG emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O) and total GHG emissions (tCO₂e_100yr), as well 5 air pollutants (e.g., NOx, SOx, PM₂.₅/PM₁₀, VOCs). Up to 16 emission types covered.
  • Operation Modes: alongside, anchorage, transit, and manoeuvre (refer to ‘Glossary’ section for further details on operation modes).
  • Port Call Definitions: a vessel entering the port for commercial work or offshore support operations, derived from AIS movements, i.e. one port call equals one movement inside and outside the port limit (arrival and departure date and time).

Overview:

The Overview page provides a multi-port summary for each customer that has multiple ports, aggregating emissions across selected ports with filters for Emissions Type, Port, Vessel Type, Scope, Operational Mode, and Year.

Additionally, like a dashboard page (see “Dashboard”), the Overview page also shows:

  • Vessel Statistics (Distinct Vessel Count, Tugboat jobs, Port Calls)
  • Total Emissions (measured in tCO2e_100yr)
  • Criteria Pollutants (measured in tonnes)

Also displayed are table-graphs showing “Vessel by Port” and “Emissions by Port,” depicting GHG emissions and criteria pollutants.
