Class Status Report proactive submission feature
Class Status Report proactive submission feature
Updated over a week ago

We are thrilled to announce a new development aligned with our commitment to enhancing shipowners' and managers' platform experience and empowering them to take proactive steps in managing their fleet with RightShip. Starting from 2nd April, the Class Status Report proactive submission feature will be available to all RightFLEET subscribers.

How will you benefit from it?

Our Class Status Report proactive submission feature eliminates the need to wait for a vet to be triggered on your vessel before submitting your class status report, allowing for peace of mind and faster vetting decisions, helping you keep your fleet charter-ready at all times!

Here’s a glimpse of the change:

· Reminder email: A few days before the expiry date of your valid Class Status Report for all your vessels, you will receive a reminder email to submit the form proactively.

· Pending task in RightFLEET: You will also see a new pending task to submit your Class Status Report in the RightFLEET Home section. Even if you miss the email, you can submit the Class Status Report with ease.

· Proactive task management: You can now address pending tasks independently of vet requests, allowing for proactive measures.

FAQs

Q: How do I sign up to submit a Class Status Report (CSR) proactively from RightFLEET Home?

A: There is no need to sign up. Our system will be monitoring the ships’ CSR expiry. You will receive a reminder email to renew your CSR if you have vessels with a CSR that is expired or is about to expire in 1 to 5 days. The ship manager will see a pending task on RightFLEET Home. Once the information is submitted, the task will disappear from the Home section and only appear again when it is about to expire subsequently.

Q: Once I have submitted the Class Status Report, when will it expire again?

A: Under current RightShip rules, proactive submission of a Class Status Report will extend the expiry period of the report for 30 days. However, if certain charter customers request for Class Status Report with expiry < 30 days, those customer rules will take precedence, and the ship manager will have to submit the Class Status Report linked to a vet as per existing procedure.

Q: Is there a cost associated with signing up for RightFLEET Starter and submitting Class Status Report information?

A: No, there is no cost involved in signing up for RightFLEET Starter or related to submitting CSR information. It is entirely free of charge.

Q: Why should I submit the Class Status Report proactively?

A: Submitting the CSR information proactively makes the vetting turnaround more efficient. RightShip will use the submitted CSR for our vetting process, and you won’t be asked for this information if everything is in order. Please note that the vet superintendents might still ask for more information if the report does not hold the information required to complete the vetting procedures.
