Charterers can now easily request PSC (Port State Control) deficiency closeout documentation directly from the vessel page on the RightShip platform. This feature streamlines the process, ensuring charterers have timely access to the necessary documentation to make informed decisions.
How to Request PSC Deficiency Closeout Documentation
Go to the Vessel Page. Navigate to the vessel page for which you want to request documentation.
Locate the Port State Control Event
Under the "Activities" section, locate the specific Port State Control (PSC) event related to the vessel.
Request Access on the "Documents" Tab. Click on the Documents tab. Here, you will see the option to request access for PSC deficiency closeout documentation.
By clicking this option, a request will be sent to the Vessel Manager, asking them to share the relevant documentation pertaining to deficiencies or detention closeouts.
From the Perspective of Owners and Managers
For owners and managers, access permissions to these documents function the same as those for any other documents stored in the Document Management Centre.
Setting Access Permissions: The Vessel Manager can control which users can access the PSC deficiency closeout documents, just as they would for any other document in the system. Document visibility can be managed based on user roles and needs. Additionally, customisable access rules allow you to define who can view and access your documents. When submitting closeout documentation, you can choose from the following options:
Access Allowed: Granting full access to the document.
Deny Access: Restricting access to the document for all users.
Access on Demand: Allowing access only when explicitly requested ensures greater data control. When a charterer requests access, the Vessel Manager will receive a notification. If the Vessel Manager grants access, the charterer can view the documents.
These customisable access options help ensure your data remains secure and private while allowing you to manage document sharing easily.
