1. Navigate to a vessel page and click the 'Request a Vet' button. On the ensuing 'Request a Vet' form, fill in the appropriate details and provide as much information as possible.
2. If your vet is for a wet vessel, it is best to provide the ship manager's email address in order to avoid any delays in processing your vet.
3. If your vet is for a dry vessel, RightShip will advise if further information is required during the vet. If you would prefer RightShip to liaise directly with the ship manager, please indicate your preference and provide their details.
3. If a vessel is a sanctioned from specific ports, the dropdown will indicate which port is sanctioned.
4. If selected, an alert will appear informing you that the port is within a sanctioned country and therefore be liable to sanctions restrictions.
You will need to confirm that no sanctioned cargo will be shipped and that you accept the risk of the shipment being within a sanctioned country.
5. If a load port or discharge port is manually selected, and the vessel is going to a sanctioned country, an alert will display and an acknowledgement checkbox will appear below.
In addition, you will be required to confirm that no sanctioned cargo will be shipped and also confirm that the vessel will not be calling at any sanctioned country.
6. You can also optionally add the INCO terms for the vet. For more information on the obligations, costs and risks of the buyer and seller under each of the 11 Incoterms® rules click here.
7. Click 'Submit' to request a vet on the vessel.
8. On the confirmation page, click 'Confirm' to send the vet request. Your vet cannot be amended once you confirm.
Please note: If the vet request has a condition for a questionnaire (e.g. Terminal questionnaire) to be completed, it will automatically be sent to the ship manager.
